I William Clayson of the Town and Borough of Deal in the county of Kent, Gentleman, being although weak in body, of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following :

That is to say I wish that all my just debts, funeral expenses and other charges of proving and executing this my Will be fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann Clayson and to her assigns for and during that time of her natural life the rest of that messuage, dwelling house, garden and premises wherein I now dwell together with the use of all the household ffurniture, plate, silver, china and other things which may be therein at the time of my death and also all the rents, issues, profits, dividends, interest and produce of all my Estate and Effects both real and personal of all what natural kind or quality soever may be for and during such that term of her natural life and from and after the death of my said wife I do give devise and bequeath unto my son in law Thomas Longley Mourilyan and to his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns according to the nature of the tenure on which I hold the same all that my said messuage, dwelling house and also all the household ffurniture, plate, silver, china and other effects therein being, and I also, after such the death of my said wife give and bequeath the following Legacies to be paid by and out of my said Estate and Effects within the period of six months next following, that is to say :
To John Clayson and Jane Marsh, widow, the son and one of the daughters of my brother Robert Clayson the sum of one hundred pounds each : To Rebecca Bridges another daughter of my brother Robert Clayson the sum of sixty pounds : To Susanne Mourilyan another daughter of my said brother Robert Clayson the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds and To Elizabeth Morphew another daughter of my said brother Robert Clayson the sum of one hundred pounds.
To Sarah Clayson, Mary Langley, Charlotte Marsh and Ann Moulton the daughters of my brother John Clayson the sum of ffifty pounds each, and To John Clayson and William Clayson the sons of my said brother John Clayson the sum of twenty pounds each.
To John Clayson and Valentine Clayson the sons of my brother Edward Clayson the sum of one hundred pounds each. To John Clayson one of the sons of my brother Mark Clayson the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds. To William Clayson another son of my brother Mark Clayson the sum of sixty pounds. To Mark Clayson another son of my brother Mark Clayson the sum of one hundred pounds. To Elizabeth Simmons one of the daughters of my said brother Mark Clayson the sum of one hundred and ten pounds, and To Sarah Pain, Ann Pettit and Harriot ffairman three other of the daughters of my said brother Mark the sum of one hundred pounds each and all the rest residual and remainder of my Estate and Effects both real and personal I give devise and bequeath from and after the death of my said wife unto my son in law Thomas Longley Mourilyan and my daughter in law Sarah Clayson, widow of my son Mark Clayson, to be equally divided between them share and share alike and to their Heirs, Executors and Administrators for ever, and my mind is in case my son in law Thomas Longley Mourilyan and my said daughter in law Sarah Clayson or which of them shall depart this life without leaving lawful issue him or her surviving that all the part, share and interest of him or her so dying and including therein my said dwelling house and the ffurniture and effects therein, being hereinbefore by me given to my said son in law or the produce thereof when converted into money shall go to and be divided and distributed to and amongst my next of kin who may be then living and that issue of such next of kin who may be then dead in a due course of administration and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife and the said Thomas Longley Mourilyan Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made in witness whereof I the said William Clayson the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this ninth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven ~ William Clayson ~ signed sealed published and delivered by the said William Clayson the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses

This Will was proved at London the fourth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight before the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne, Knight, doctor of laws Master Keeper and Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Ann Clayson, widow, the Relict of the deceased and Thomas Longley Mourilyan the Executors named in the said Will to whom administration of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased was granted, they having been given first by the commission duly to administer.
